About Me

2022.12, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, Miami, Florida

Welcome aboard! I am Zihan Zhang (Steven) [张子晗], a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Washington (UW). I am working with Prof. Eric Shea-Brown and Prof. Stefan Mihalas. I am also a visiting scientist at Allen Institute for Brain Science.

I completed my B.A. degree in Mathematics (with Honors) and Computer Science at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University (NYU), where I was very fortunate to work with Prof. Dave McLaughlin, Prof. Leif Ristroph, and Prof. Russ Caflisch in various fields of computational sciences.
